ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

Mtfombeni Investment Company we recognise that we have a responsibility to care for and protect the environment in which we operate, minimising the potential impact our activities may have on the environment.  We are fully committed to environmental sustainability, including monitoring and improving environmental performance, preventing pollution and reducing any potential adverse impacts that Mtfombeni Investment products, operations and services may have on the environment by doing the following:

  • Preventing pollution of the environment by hazardous substances, emissions and waste.
  • Seeking means and use of all things that will positively conserve energy and natural resources.
  • Seek means to use less fuel while improvement on efficiency.
  • Providing training and participate in external and internal training of staff to always be aware of their requirement to uphold the environment as a way of life.
  • To operate within the legal requirements of all environmental legislation of the country and all that is set by our clients in the sector where we work.
  • Conform to a process of environmental risk management in compliance with best practice;
  • Review performance of environmental objectives and targets by monitoring systems and processes through environmental audits;
  • Utilise environmentally sustainable technologies and practices which prevent pollution / contaminations and promote the continuous improvement of environmental performance;
  • Support the implementation of innovative environmental options;
  • Minimise waste generation and enhance the recovery and recycling of materials;
  • Ensure stringent control over hazardous waste;
  • Communicate environmental issues to staff, shareholders and affected parties/ stakeholders to promote and enhance a culture of continual environmental awareness; and
  • Encourage the adoption of similar principles by our suppliers.
  • educate and train the staff and management on the impact of the ozone depletion due to the conduct of mankind especially from industrialised countries which in turn is causing drought, floods, high temperatures and shifting of the natural season of the year thus affecting cropping and animals in the World and the entire environment.

 The policy statement will be reviewed annually with a view to improve and incorporate any new issues that will help managing the natural resources at its disposal in a sustainable manner such that natural resources can still be spared for future generations.

HEALTH & SAFETY POLICY:

Mtfombeni Investment strive to offer our customers an effective, reliable, and superior service at all times in terms of Quality, professionalism and standards exceeding all expectations in Eswatini and Mozambique. Our Management Team accept their legal and moral obligations to ensure, as far as reasonably practicable, a safe and healthy working environment in order to protect employees and anyone else who may be affected by its operations.

Mtfombeni Investment considers health & safety to be a line management responsibility and develops and follow stringent practices to promote Safety and healthy work place for its staff while carrying out the client’s contractual obligation within the regulation applicable to the service they provide by doing the following;

·        Make a Positive difference in all that we undertake

·        Provide adequate information, procedure, and trainings to enable all workforce to do their job safely

·        Provide safe and effective tools and support in terms of time and resources to perform the safety role to achieve the desired work outcome as per client request

·        Fulfill its statutory obligations requirements in all our clients’ projects and continually improve Safety and Health Management to enhance its performance   

·        Follow International standards as best practices and requirements as stipulated in the Local Government acts.

·        Achieve an organizational culture of Safety and Health brilliance as an integral part or organization business

·        Continuous assessment of the results and monitoring of Safety and Health management systems to enhance its performance

·        Encourage consultation, communication and collaboration of our employees by following the Guiding principles:

·        Promotion of companywide culture of Safety & Health Management systems

·        Participate actively in various Safety  & Health, related training programs

·        Reporting all incidents, Hazards and issues.

We are committed to ensure that Safety & Health is  reviewed annually with a view to improve and incorporate any new issues that will contribute to improve the operations of Mtfombeni Investment Company while looking at means and ways to improve its operations and improve the safety and health of staff, management and all Workplaces


QUALITY POLICY:


 Mtfombeni Investment Company Has developed this to ensure that management and its staff or support staff are at all times upholding Quality as one of their key performance areas and will strive to give to their client at all times by;

  • Providing quality products from reputable suppliers to use in any work to be carried out for the clients at all times so the client’s expectation is met or better at all times during the execution of their contractual obligation to the client.
  • Providing quality service for their client and meeting the client’s expectation or better at all times during the execution of their contractual obligation to the client.
  • Providing Quality management awareness to their staff.
  • Providing training and participate in external and internal training of staff to always be aware of their requirement to uphold quality as a way of life within our premises or the client premises during execution of any work. 

We are committed to establishing, maintaining and continuously improving a quality management system (QMS) in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001: 2015.

MTFOMBENI INVESTMENT we are committed to ensuring that our quality management system is directed towards achieving the following objectives:

  • Only accept orders and contracts within our management capacity.
  • Planning all business activities and improving time allocations
  • The recruitment exercise will be all inclusive exercise to determine the individual’s ability to be trainable and physical fit individual who will be able to execute his/her tasks without compromising on quality.
  • Responding to problems systematically and promoting a team approach to their resolution.
  • Recognize that deadlines are a crucial part of our business.
  • In each business unit the Operational manager will be responsible for all aspects of the ISO 9001: 2015 quality management system.
