Empowering Our Workforce Through Awareness: A Visit from the Eswatini Police
On 31 March 2025, we had the privilege of hosting members of the Eswatini Police Service, who delivered a powerful and informative session to our employees. Their visit formed part of our ongoing commitment to employee welfare, safety, and education—both in the workplace and beyond.
The session focused on two crucial legal frameworks:
1. The Sex Offences and Domestic Violence Act, 2018
The officers broke down the key provisions of this vital legislation, highlighting the rights of individuals and the responsibilities of society in preventing and addressing gender-based violence. Employees were encouraged to understand the signs of abuse, speak up, and know the support systems available to victims.
2. The Computer Crime and Cybercrime Act, 2022
In an age where digital threats are constantly evolving, the Eswatini Police emphasized the importance of cyber hygiene. The act outlines offenses such as hacking, identity theft, and online fraud—topics that are increasingly relevant in today’s tech-driven workplace. Employees were given practical advice on how to protect their data and report cybercrime.
This visit was not just a lecture—it was a dialogue. Employees engaged actively, asked questions, and walked away with a deeper understanding of their legal protections and responsibilities.
We thank the Eswatini Police Service for their time and dedication to public education. At Mtfombeni Investments, we believe that an informed workforce is an empowered one.
