Transformer Relocation at Illovo Mill (Off-Crop Maintenance Work)
Scope of Work:
✅Relocation of four transformers
✅Re-routing of cables, including termination and jointing to the required sizesThis project was conducted at Illovo Mill as part of their off-crop maintenance operations.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience experienced during the first weekend of the project. Due to a miscommunication, only half of our team was available. However, the issue was promptly resolved, and work continued with full support from the remaining team members—thank you for the invaluable assistance during that time.
As discussed in the project meeting held on 18 February 2025, the project was planned for completion within three weeks. The goal was to have all transformers energized by 14 March 2025. Unfortunately, delays in the completion of civil works meant that we could only commence some key tasks on 10 March 2025, which added pressure to the timeline.
We appreciate the collaboration and support from the electrical team, which helped us align with Illovo’s standards. We look forward to continued partnership and the opportunity for our team to engage in repeated works to support continuous improvement.
